ASUS has always been a manufacturer of quality components and PC hardware. The ASUS EAH4850 512MB Radeon HD card is a powerhouse. This thing is meant to handle anything you can throw at it without breaking a sweat or losing any frame rates. The interface uses PCI Express 2.0 x16 giving you an ultra fast connection providing plenty of support for all of today’s hotttest games.

Look at the fan on that thing as well! This thing is huge, in fact it may be a bit too big. I’ve read reviews from quite a few people stating that they had issues fitting it into their case and it stretching as long as their motherboard. This video card is definitely not for you if you are running a mid-tower or smaller case, I doubt you could get it to fit.

The core clock runs at 680MHz while 512MB of GDDR3 memory makes this card a monster. Support for both DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 2.1 and 2 DVI ports, 1 HDTV/S-Video port and an HDMI port (adapter included) give you plenty of options for connecting this card to pretty much anything.

The GeForce 8500GT is jam packed with hardware that provides powerful performance at a very affordable price. It accels in increasing Windows Vista performance while providing a powerful graphics engine to support all of today’s latest games. The GeForce 8500GT
supports both DirectX 9 and 10 while also allowing you to enjoy HD movies with PureVideo HD technology.

Most video cards come stock but EVGA has gone one step further and decided to overclock the 8500GT. Increasing the stream processors to 32 up from 16 and the shader clock to 918MHz. The 8500GT comes with dual 400MHz RAMDAC and is HDCP enabled, HDTV and SLI ready, supports OpenGL 2.0 and is Vista Certified.

Resolution is always something that I look at before purchasing a new video card and the EVGA 8500GT provides a max resolution of 2560×1600 pixels. That big of a resolution allows for plenty of space to be added to your desktop increasing your workload and efficiency. The card uses PCI Express x16 as a connector and provides 1 VGA, 1 DVI and 1 HDTV/S-Video connector.

Ends 10/31/08!
